Home Visits

Home visits can be arranged for those too ill to attend the medical centre or for reasons beyond their control. We appreciate an advanced notice in these instances. Our doctors also visit the local nursing homes and hostels on a regular basis. If a patient is too sick to visit the hospital after hours, they can call the hospital’s accident and emergency department and ask to call their own doctor. Our centre can contact doctors with responsibility for any home or nursing home visit.

After-Hours and Emergency Services

When Pirie Medical Centre in closed, The Port Pirie Regional Health Service provides after-hours and emergency service through the hospital accident and emergency department.

Should you require the services of an interpreter to be present during your consultation with the doctor, please tell the receptionist when making your appointment and we will arrange one for you.
